I trust games that let me skip credits to not let me also skip an extra bonus bit of plot or action. Games that don't, I usually assume have something in store for me (ala MGS).

Halo 3 let you skip and there was a lot afterwards. A few of my friends learned this the hard way.

As far as I'm concerned, then it's a game not worth playing. Or YouTubing the ending.

A game not worth playing or a ending not worth watching? That's pretty harsh if it's the former. You're saying you wouldn't play an amazing game if it had extra stuff at the end but made you watch the credits beforehand?

Speaking of credits, am I the only one who likes to watch the beginning of a game again (especially if it has a startup intro) after I finish the game?

That statement did kind of confuse me. Explain yourself, 'tuzzi!

Almost always, mostly because I'm paranoid of losing my game progress if I just turn the thing off or something. I'll only skip when it allows you to just by pressing a button.

Occasionally, but I've only ever done it a lot with Silent Hill, as the intro changes.

Yeah, if I can't skip it or speed it up, I'll sometimes just leave the room for a while so as to not lose anything. Did that with Wanted yesterday, although the credits seemed longer than the game itself. xD

I kinda said that backwards. Either the game isn't worth playing, or I'll just youtube the ending. Secret tidbits at the ends of credits are OK for certain types of games... but very few of them. Having them skipable usually means the game also has skipable cutscenes, which is code for "not a very good plot."

Oh really? Then explain to me why you can skip the cutscenes in Tekken 6!

...never mind.

I would disagree; I detest games not letting you skip cutscenes. Maybe I'm playing through the game for a third time and don't really want to watch the 10 minute video again.

True, but I wish developers would always give us the option to confirm that we did in fact mean to push that button and skip the cutscene. I get frustrated when I accidentally bump a button and inadvertently skip an important part of the story.

I would like all games let you pause cutscenes too, sometimes I have to leave the screen real quick and I don't like missing anything.

I agree with that an unbelievable amount.

"BUT MOOOMMMM! I'M WATCHING A CUTSCENE! I CAN'T SKIP IT!"

That's happened to me more times than I can count.

More and more games are letting us pause the cut-scene, and in the pause menu, we have an option to skip. EVERY game should do this.

Oh heck yes.

Also, I wish some games would just cut out lame cutscenes. Wanted comes to mind: some cutscenes are important, and other just give you a view of the next area. And more times then I can count it'd be area cutscene, walk for FIVE SECONDS, another area cutscene.

Or how about the classic "Look! Look! Another gate is opening! Oh no! Hurry, you're timed! Now look! It's closing!" cutscenes (especially notable in Rare's N64 platformers)? I hated those!

I've yet to play a game that has a good enough plot that there would be something worth hiding in the end credits that is also worth multiple playthroughs that isn't worth experiencing the cutscenes again. But maybe I'm just old fashioned.
