Praying for you guys.

UPDATE on Caleb, my 8-week old son:

We spent all day yesterday with him at the hospital for testing, and his symptoms are consistent with something called "Hirschsprung's Disease." They took a biopsy of his colon and we expect to have test results by Monday. If it is Hirschsprung's Disease, then his condition is serious enough that they will do surgery to remove part of his colon. In the meantime we have an irrigation kit here at home and we are keeping his bowels flushed out every 8 hours so he doesn't rupture anything, and praying that God will fix this and use it in a way that brings glory to Him.

It's kind of a serious situation and I'm concerned about Caleb, but not a way that is worrisome or panicky. I forget what the reference is in Philippians but it says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, humbly present your requests to God, and the peace that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." God is doing that for me. :)

Hey I really appreciate that, peewub. I've gotta tell you (and I should have posted back here earlier this week), but our God answered your prayers for Caleb. I can't explain what happened in medical terms, only that my son was seriously sick and now he is well. His bowels aren't even doing anything funky at all anymore. So feel free to shout out a big "HALLELUJAH!" to the One who healed my boy. :yay: And God also answered your prayers for me as I had incredible peace about the whole thing. You understand I was concerned. But nervous and anxious? No way. God had me covered with the peace of Christ.

Yes He is!

If you guys wouldn't mind praying for Caleb again, today he is pooping blood and we are taking him to the hospital. This bleeding plus his previous symptoms has the doctor saying we need to pack a bag for overnight. God knows what's going on but I don't, so please remember us in your prayers.

I'll let you know how it goes the next time I have something to report. Thanks!

They took 5 biopsies of Caleb's colon and sent us back home for the night because whatever the problem is, it's not a clear and present danger. We won't know the test results until Monday. In the meantime we get to enjoy him at home. He's gone poop 3 times without blood, so that's a very positive sign that maybe the internal bleeding is healing up. Sorry to gross anybody out with this story, but those are the facts, and I appreciate the prayers because God has been hearing you!

Wow boyward! You have no idea how encouraging this is! I know so many times when I should stop worrying and just dwell on the verse you spoke of! He truly is great! God bless you brother! :)

WOW! Bward! That is really good, I will pray for the little bro's safty still though. Seems like he is having a rough start out in life, but I bet God is doing it to make him a stronger person. C:

If ya guys wouldn't mind, praying for a friend of mine, she is just going through some difficult things right now, as well as a close (bro) friend of mine. Pray for me in general, because as school draws to a close I seem to be getting ancier and ancier every day to just graduate, what I need is pasience and lots of it xD. But like, I pray for all you guys, every chance I get, because we could all use a good pray for in this hard life.

What you need is a spell check.

Regardless, I will be glad to pray for your and your friend's issues. And the spell check.

Still praying for your boy, boyward!

Hey, could use some prayers. I was just informed that a friend of mine was pretty severely injured last night. He was practicing a skit for the senior variety show in which he does some sort of stunt with a bicycle. I don't know the details, but I've heard he smashed his face really badly and is likely in surgery even as I'm typing this, so if you could pray for his recovery, that'd be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE
The surgery went better than they expected. I'm not sure the exact extent of the injuries, but there's definitely some damage to the face. The surgery was intended to repair parts of his skull, and they had to mess around with the brain a bit to do that. They were worried that he wouldn't be himself for a long time, but his family's been emailing us, and they say he's talking and seems to remember things pretty well and doesn't seem disoriented or anything. There's still some concern of infection, but the prognosis is good. This was definitely a best-case scenario given his injuries.

Hey, I haven't posted on here in a while.

but I wanted to ask for prayer for myself and my family. Over Christmas my father was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Last night I found out that his hospice nurses expect him to die in less than a week. Please pray for our strength. My father means so much to so many people. I am only 21 and this is incredibly difficult. Please please pray for me.

And praise God for my father's work. He lived the gospel every day that I've known and loved him.

I'm really sorry, man. :( Your post fills me with a mixture of pain and joy. Pain for the suffering this has brought to your family, but joy that you can speak so highly of your father's legacy. I just prayed for your dad. It sounds like he is a godly man and he is probably looking forward to meeting Jesus face to face. Vindicta, I'm thanking God for giving you the gift of a godly father, and I will pray that he will be able to finish well. Also I'm praying for you and everyone else who's life was touched by your father.
