Full orchestral versions of my favorite Final Fantasy music played by a full orchestra. I love it. Also, the addition of vocalists to some songs is just great. The vocalist in Melodies of Life from FFIX is simply stunning. FFIX isn't really represented but it's great. Opening~Bombing Mission is my absolute favorite out of both albums. To hear it played by a full orchestra is mind blowing. Vamo'alla Flamenco from FFIX is also on here which is my favorite song in FFIX. I wish they would have kept the spanish guitar in the song more instead of switching to the strings but it's all really, really good. Any Final Fantasy fan needs these albums. Available from any fine digital music outlet. At least, I think it's on Amazon, I got it from iTunes.

lol, Cake. I heard "The Distance" by them watching a stupid Flash movie, and it's a pretty funky song.

The Protomen Act II - The Father of Death
I used to not like these guys. I'm not really sure why. Their second album is just, I don't know how to describe it. This is a rock opera from the perspective of Dr. Light as Wily is destroying the city. I think I might be a fanboy now. Also, it's historically accurate. Light's wife, Emily, speaks to him from beyond the grave in a great duet. Sniper Joe is already dead. Protoman and Megaman are the only ones who can help. I just can't stop gushing over how amazing this whole album is. Just go listen to it, you'll see what I mean.

The Megas - Get Acoustic
Acoustic version of The Megas' first album, Get Equipped. Still one of the best game bands out there. The acoustic version is just as amazing.

Daniel Tidwell - Versus Video Games
A newcomer to the game music cover scene. His first album is pretty amazing though. Speed metal covers of game music. His cover of Bloody Tears is ace.

Avenged Sevenfold - Nightmare
It's good. I wouldn't call it their best work but it's a good album. A few of the songs are fantastic nonetheless.
EDIT:
I'll just leave this here...

My sister found a band I am now in love with called Mates of State. Their a two m'n band, a dude on drums and a lady on key board and vocals, with the dude singing back up vocals. It's indie-magic-tasticallarific~!
I think I posted a vid of theirs in the GTube or somethin'..
