My biggest impression from the trailer is how not at all like Iroh that looks. He looks...evil. Which is absolutely not what the character is.
Anyways, I like the live action bending. Looks nice. My main concerns for this movie at this point are twofold- acting and dialogue. Acting, because there's a general lack of experience here, and dialogue, because M. Night seems to have a problem with that.
Everything else has been addressed. Iroh aside, everyone else seems to look as they should (they even resisted the urge to make Appa all dark and realistic), the sets look nice, and I'm not too worried about the story- if they adapted only the important events from season one, they've already got a great one on their hands. It was never an issue of coming up with a good story, just not mucking up the one they've already got.
So, ultimately, I feel better about this movie. Praying for the best.
(Also, I like the music, but I hope it's not from the movie. Rock doesn't really suit Avatar.)

I didn't get the impression that that was Iroh. He was...skinny.

Again, it's not so much that he's not fat (though his weight in the series kind of compliments his laid-back, almost lazy nature), but that he looks kind of evil. The Iroh/Zuko relationship was one of the great things about the show, and I'm really hoping they don't botch that.

Yeah, we'll all talk about how stupid it is, but we'll all probably be in the theater on opening day anyway.

Otherwise, I don't know. The trailers really aren't doing anything for me so far. The director's got some good movies under his belt, though, so maybe. We'll see.

I've never read the books, but that trailer definitely has me keeping an eye on this movie. Looks like it could be fantastic.

Sorry but...it's owls. Owls. Do the same thing with dragons or eagles, and maybe you have a movie. But owls?
No.

And, new Iron Man 2 trailer- http://trailers.appl...amount/ironman/
Is it wrong to be more excited for Iron Man 2 than Toy Story 3, because somehow, this new trailer has made me just that. Awesome.
