I think Dev Patel's going to be a great Zuko. I worry for everyone else.
My biggest impression from the trailer is how not at all like Iroh that looks. He looks...evil. Which is absolutely not what the character is.
Anyways, I like the live action bending. Looks nice. My main concerns for this movie at this point are twofold- acting and dialogue. Acting, because there's a general lack of experience here, and dialogue, because M. Night seems to have a problem with that.
Everything else has been addressed. Iroh aside, everyone else seems to look as they should (they even resisted the urge to make Appa all dark and realistic), the sets look nice, and I'm not too worried about the story- if they adapted only the important events from season one, they've already got a great one on their hands. It was never an issue of coming up with a good story, just not mucking up the one they've already got.
So, ultimately, I feel better about this movie. Praying for the best.
(Also, I like the music, but I hope it's not from the movie. Rock doesn't really suit Avatar.)

I didn't get the impression that that was Iroh. He was...skinny.

Iroh's being played by Shaun Toub, aka, Yinsen from Iron Man. In other words, a fairly skinny guy. And if you pause the image during that trailer, you can definitely tell that's Shaun Toub.
Again, it's not so much that he's not fat (though his weight in the series kind of compliments his laid-back, almost lazy nature), but that he looks kind of evil. The Iroh/Zuko relationship was one of the great things about the show, and I'm really hoping they don't botch that.

A movie idea so bizarre you just HAVE to see it when it comes out- http://www.deadline....tale-gets-deal/
Yeah, we'll all talk about how stupid it is, but we'll all probably be in the theater on opening day anyway. :P

Interesting they finally confirmed it. The market's gonna get a bit saturated though, what with Pride & Predjudice & Zombies, Sense & Sensibility & Sea Monsters, etc. I'll totally see it though.

Edit: Oh, and:

I'm a big fan of Bruckheimer's action films. Prince of Persia seems like a return to the classic form that made the first Pirates film so good. I'm really looking forward to it. We just don't need that Sorcerer's Apprentice movie, Nic Cage doesn't need the work.

I like the idea of the dagger being used to turn back time to survive tense moments; however, I'm deeply concerned that this could open up some really significant plot holes if they're not careful.
Otherwise, I don't know. The trailers really aren't doing anything for me so far. The director's got some good movies under his belt, though, so maybe. We'll see.

The PoP movie actually looks like a lot of fun. However, I want to trade in Jake Gyllnehaal for Nolan North. I really liked that Prince!

I'm just a little concerned with the video game adaptation thing. I always think they're going to ruin it trying to make the jump from game to screen. Still, like Red Five said, he's got some good movies, so we'll see. I might even give it a shot.

I don't know if anyone's seen this yet, but here- http://www.imdb.com/...b/vi2205746201/
I've never read the books, but that trailer definitely has me keeping an eye on this movie. Looks like it could be fantastic.

Sorry but...it's owls. Owls. Do the same thing with dragons or eagles, and maybe you have a movie. But owls?

No.

Why? It's more or less the same basic concept as Redwall or some classic Disney movies. And anyway, the movie just looks gorgeous. Like I said, I'll be keeping a cautiously optimistic eye on it.
And, new Iron Man 2 trailer- http://trailers.appl...amount/ironman/
Is it wrong to be more excited for Iron Man 2 than Toy Story 3, because somehow, this new trailer has made me just that. Awesome.
