Errr, is grammar a rule?

It would seem every bit that grammar should be a rule, am I just missing out on a rule here? Because I didn't see a grammar rule thread/etc.

I was hoping this would be an in depth discussion on prescriptive versus descriptive grammar.

I've had one for several days, and I want to look at it, but when I click, it only says I'm not allowed to use PMs =/.

No idea what I tried to post that was so wrong...

I can't seem to understand how to put the emoticons via the little emoticon button, sure I can make a smiley with alt codes, EG ☺, but how do I make an emoticon with the button thing? HALP

You can only use PMs once your are validated (it should happen after a specific number of posts).

People who are not validated have all their post made invisible. A mod has to approve them before people can see it.

Emoticons seem to be buggy at the moment. You can make them by using standard faces, such a :) :D etc.

Looks like you are already approved!

I merged the two topics. In the future please use an existing suitable topic if there is one. Posting a topic for each question or comment clutters up the forums :)
