Didn't really have anywhere to post Steam related news...

LucasArts Bringing Classics to Steam

* Armed and Dangerous
* Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis
* Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure
* LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventure
* LOOM
* Star Wars Battlefront II
* Star Wars Republic Commando
* Star Wars Starfighter
* The Dig
* Thrillville: Off the Rails

Not everything is an AAA title, however this is hopefully a sign of better things to come. (All the Monkey Island games, X-Wing/TIE Fighter series, and Day of the Tentacle?)

Monkey Island Special Edition is also coming to Steam (and XBLA & other "online retailers") the 15th as well.

I hope they offer the Talkie version of Loom.

As for Monkey Island; they are probably waiting to see how well MI 1:SE sells, and than will do a SE treatment on MI 2 if it does well enough. :)

I am slowly warming up to Steam from our rocky relationship in the beginning. With more and more games coming to Steam, I might consider using it more often.

The LucasArts games are now in the Steam store, at the following pricing.

Armed and Dangerous: $9.99
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis: $4.99
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure: $4.99
LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventure: $19.99
LOOM: $4.99
Star Wars Battlefront II: $19.99
Star Wars Republic Commando: $9.99
Star Wars Starfighter: $4.99
The Dig: $4.99
Thrillville: Off the Rails: $19.99

Battlefront II seems a tad pricey, what with jewlcase copies selling for $10. Everything else seems appropriately priced though.

I will most definitely purchase LOOM for $5. That's a great price. And I enjoyed The Dig and Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis as well.

Lucasarts has treated us adventure game fans kindly here. Now we need more stuff like Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle (I would love a "Special Edition" of Maniac Mansion as well).

Anyone who hasn't played these games, needs to go play them, pronto! It seems like LucasArts is making a comeback, what with Monkey Island: SE, and these games being released.

I never really appreciated steam. That was until I got a computer without a disk drive, so now I have finally started to appreciate steam.

I have yet to use Steam, mostly because I have a Mac. I would have liked to be able to buy Plants VS. Zombies for $10 less, but it was worth the $20.

I'm sure they'll do a big LucasArts package eventually. These weekend deals are probably planned weeks, if not months, in advance. Ubisoft didn't just call Valve up and be like, "'Sup, yo? How's about we cut our prices in half, one game a day, dog? Ya dig, homie?" More than likely it'll be a while before we get a package deal from LucasArts. Probably at least until they've released a good chunk more of their stuff. I can totally see them doing an "Indy" pack and a "Star Wars" pack and an "Everything In-between" pack.

Oh why did I have to bring up that Ubisoft deal? I was totally broke after that week.

I am going to be spending a lot more time on Steam once I get home to my new laptop. We have got to get a Counter-Strike source game or a Half-Life Deathmatch game going sometime. Anyone game?

Apparently you can't gift extra copies of games, unless it's Left 4 Dead or Half-Life. Bought the 10 game indie pack, with me already owning Audiosurf and World of Goo.

Thanks Valve. :mellow:
